Dylilah's Lunch PopUp FoodieHall Cherry Hill

A New Lunch Pop-Up in Cherry Hill Worth Pulling Up For

Chef Rashad Bryant, a seasoned culinary professional with more than 30 years in the food industry, is bringing a fresh new lunch concept to Cherry Hill, one that blends his catering expertise with a fast, accessible retail experience.

Based at FoodieHall (1931 Olney Ave in Cherry Hill), Chef Rashad has just soft-launched a new pop-up spotlighting his brands, Dylilah’s Sweet Sin’Sation and BBQ Pit Master. Known for delivering bold, crowd-pleasing flavors at catering events, Chef Rashad is now bringing that same high standard directly to walk-in customers with a streamlined, quick-service approach.

For the past year, Chef Rashad has been utilizing FoodieHall’s commissary kitchen, a shared space designed for food entrepreneurs to prepare meals for delivery and catering. You might remember my article about that last year. With the infrastructure already in place, a retail-based concept seemed like a natural next step for Chef Rashad.

The result is a focused lunch menu available for walk-in orders from 11 AM to 5 PM, designed for speed, convenience, and flavor. Customers can simply pull up, place an order, and be on their way with a freshly prepared meal in minutes.

The current menu highlights hearty, protein-packed bowls served over yellow rice and black beans, topped with fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and onions. Options include jerk chop chicken, grilled turkey, and sautéed salmon, along with a vegan salad for lighter fare.

Equally notable are the handmade empanadas, offering a variety of bold fillings like seafood (crab and shrimp), oxtail and cheese, salmon with peppers, and jerk chicken. These portable, flavor-packed options are ideal for a quick lunch. Each empanada order is served with a generous portion of yellow rice and black beans. Prices are very reasonable for large portions.

No meal is complete without dessert. Dylilah’s Sweet Sin’Sation cakes are available by the slice. Selections include indulgent, three-layer creations in the following flavors: red velvet cheesecake, chocolate cheesecake, carrot cake, and lemon cake. These are not tiny cake slices by any means. One cake slice is enough for two people! They are moist and delicious.

Everything is packaged for convenience, including utensils and a canned soda, making it an easy stop for busy locals or nearby workers looking for a satisfying meal without the wait.

Looking ahead, Chef Rashad plans to expand the menu with additional items like sandwiches, wraps, and more salad options. There’s also potential for other FoodieHall vendors to join the retail effort, which could transform the space into a broader lunch destination.

For now, the focus for Chef Rashad is simple: serve a delicious, high-quality lunch promptly—offering an alternative to the usual fast-food or convenience-store fare.

Of course, I stopped by today to try it myself. Tried an oxtail empanada and salmon empanada. Both were filled to the brim, loaded with rice and beans and packed with flavor. I also sampled the sauteed and glazed salmon bowl, which included a large piece of salmon and it was so tasty! I’ll be having that for dinner tonight. I also couldn’t resist some cake. I sampled the lemon cake so far, and it is divine. I highly recommend trying this new popup!

Of course, stay tuned for more updates as they become available!

HERE’S HOW IT WORKS!

For now, they’re only taking walk-in orders. Point your GPS to 1931 Olney Ave in Cherry Hill. Yes, it’s in an industrial complex. FoodieHall is located right next door to Bury the Hatchet. Walk in and tell them you’re there to order from the lunch popup. There is a menu on the door and also at the counter. Someone will promptly take your order and it will be ready for you pretty quickly. A fast, fresh hot lunch won’t take you more than a few minutes.
