Two New Burger Restaurants to Open in South Jersey

The burger craze will not die. And why should it? Burgers are delicious. Burgers are the epitome of American food. 🍔

Bring on ALL the burgers, I say!

In case you’ve been living under a rock, it was recently announced that South Jersey would be getting not one but TWO new burger joints. Great news for burger lovers in Camden County!

It just so happens, both new South Jersey burger restaurants will likely open around the same time, within 2.5 miles of each other!

The Fare Porter will debut at 109 Kings Highway East in Haddonfield sometime in mid-December.

Burgertime is also looking at a December opening at 123 West Merchant Street in Audubon.

Marcello De Feo and Johnnie Reynolds of Valente’s Cucina at Kings Court are behind The Fare Porter. De Feo’s been wanting to bring a burger concept to Haddonfield for over two years. Initially, he partnered with David Murray and Walter Gouldsbury in Founder & Signer, but that project didn’t pan out. The Fare Porter will feature burgers, hand-cut fries, shakes, and other handhelds he previously offered at his former ghost kitchen Cilento Sandwich Co.

Dane DeMarco, currently of Sonny’s Cocktail Joint in Philadelphia, is opening their first South Jersey restaurant since becoming a resident of Audubon last year. Burgertime will also offer burgers as well as hot dogs, tater tots, and soft-serve ice cream. Philly Grub has more details.

I think both will bring a unique blend of deliciousness and personality to an already increasingly exciting and growing South Jersey food scene. Each is different enough to ensure co-existence and feed off each other as consumers benefit from more great burgers in South Jersey! I think burger-loving foodies are up for it as long as the burgers are good.

Stay tuned for more details as they become available about these two new spots.
